We assessed changes in body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference in the groups as well as in the patients taking the study medication. We also evaluated changes in the amount of fat excreted by the liver in the groups. All patients were included in the study. The data obtained from the patients were used to evaluate the results.

The changes in waist circumference were also more common in patients taking the medication than in the patients taking the medication alone. The increase in the amount of fat excreted by the liver was also more common in patients taking the medication. In the obese group, there was a greater increase in the amount of fat excreted by the liver compared with the other two groups. The change in the body mass index and waist circumference in the patients taking orlistat was not statistically different from the changes in the patients taking the medication alone.
